Cariema Isaacs

Cariema Isaacs is an author of two cookbooks full of recipes of Cape Malay dishes. The recipes in her books are those that were cooked and enjoyed together by her community throughout her childhood. She grew up in Bo-Kaap (the Cape Malay Quarter in Cape Town) She lends insight into the culture, religious ceremonies and family events that have shaped the Cape Malay community into what it is today.

This project for Cariema was to create a brand identity consisting of a logo and identity illustrations for a range of products.
